Weldon Sullivan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pitman Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Wentzville Chapel on Jun. 7, 2025.
Weldon Sullivan of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on June 6, 2025 at the age of 82. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ann Sullivan (nee: Weis) of Wentzville, Missouri; son, Jeff (Angelique) Sullivan; daughter, Pam (Rob Duncan) Kent; three brothers, Layne (Jan) Sullivan, Wayne (Carol) Sullivan, Ronald (Peggy) Sullivan; five grandchildren, Cameron, Carson, Alex, Braeden and Kennedy; He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Sullivan, Jr., mother, Evelyn Sullivan (nee: Brewster), and grandchild, Adam.
Weldon celebrated a beautiful marriage with Mary Ann on June 25, 1966. Together, they were blessed with two children, Jeff Sullivan and Pam Kent. Weldon began his career at McDonnell Douglas as a machinist and tool designer, ultimately ascending to the role of industrial sales engineer. His dedication to his profession was matched only by his commitment to education, as he pursued and earned two master's degrees while balancing his professional responsibilities. After 35 years of dedicated service, Weldon retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and accomplishment. An Eagle Scout, Weldon had a profound love for the outdoors. He spent countless hours hunting and fishing, finding joy in nature. Known affectionately as "Stokley" as he was always tending to the fire and ensuring everything was just right, and for his grill-master skills, he delighted family and friends with his barbecues. Weldon was also an avid domino and pool player, enjoying friendly competition.
Travel held a special place in his heart, with Alaska being his favorite destination. A true car enthusiast, Weldon cherished his fully restored 1980 "Smokey the Bandit" Trans Am and took his final ride in it just three days before his passing. Weldon possessed a legendary talent for storytelling, able to captivate anyone around him with his humor and wit. His passion for woodworking led him to design his own workshop, where he crafted toys for children, reflecting his generous spirit. As a grandfather, or "paw paw," he adored spending time with his grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish forever. Weldon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
