Wendell Wilkie "BO" Bolin went to be with his lord and savior Saturday, January 31, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2026 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Bo was born November 27, 1941 in Geneva County, Alabama to Green Beechum Bolin and Rubi Voncelle Bolin. He moved to Columbus, GA in 1957. In June of 1977 he married the love of his life Mary Helen Bolin. Wendell was a Tennessee walking horse enthusiast and competed in many horse shows passing that knowledge on the his children and grandchildren.
He was the military marketing manager for Fleming foods based out of Geneva, Alabama. He worked for them for over 30 years before he retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bolin, father, Green Bolin, mother, Rubi Bolin, brothers, Jerry Bolin, Ronnie Bolin, Marsh Bolin, Lee Von Sparks and daughter, Wendy Tyler (William).
Wendell is survived by his son, Wendell Brian Bolin (his special daughter-in-law, Jennifer) of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Katelynn Elizabeth Bolin (David) of Baytown, Texas, Aaron Bolin (Kailey) of Baytown, Texas, Wendellynn Brianna Bolin of Salem, AL, Dustin Clarke of Unadilla, GA, Gage Bolin, Garret Bolin of Fortson, GA, Kaylin Haga of Phenix City AL, Hannah, Hayden and Hadley Tyler all of Columbus GA, son-in-law of 30 years, William Wesley Tyler of Columbus, GA, sister, Janice Day (Ned) of Phenix City, AL, brothers, Roger Bolin (Rhonda) of Fortson, GA, Joe Bolin of Meansville, GA, three great-grandchildren, Bradly Colt Harvey of Baytown, Texas, Bailynn Elaine Bolin of Baytown,Texas and Kollyns Ann Bolin from Baytown, Texas.
Wendell was the light of the room when he walked in there wasn't a single person that he couldn't make laugh. Wendell was the best father, brother, and grandfather that ever was.
