GREASON – Wendell Lee Greason, Sr, age 84 Jefferson, formally of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Jackson County Baptist Church, 79 Memorial Drive, Jefferson, Georgia, with Rev. Matt Booher and Rev. Jack Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Evans Memory Gardens, 1350 Winder Highway, Jefferson. A Visitation will be held at the church two hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Wendell enjoyed music and was in a Bluegrass band called The Wild Heard. He was an avid guitarist and played frequently at the Little House in Jefferson, Georgia. Wendell's talent earned him membership into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame. Wendell was an electrician all his life. He was a business owner and worked for Gwinnett County as a Master Electrician. Wendell was a member and a Deacon of Jackson County Baptist Church. His love for Christ showed not only in his character, but in his love for his family. Wendell will be remembered as a great friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred W. and Louise (Gunter) Greason, sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty (Warren) Stephen, and Myrna (Stanley) Bagley. Wendell is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 64 years, Sue (Jones) Greason; daughters, Pamela (Michael) Amos, Delaware; Janet Lawson, Oxford, GA; and Sharon Williams Buford, GA; and son, Lee (Karolyn) Greason, Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Joshua (Elizabeth) White, Matthew (Angelique) White, Kristen (Brandon) Rowell, Jeremy (Casandra) Dean, Justin (Lindsay) Dean, Tyler (Brittany) Lawson, Amber (Daniel) Lawson, Derrick Ledbetter, Emily Williams, Joshua (Hannah) Williams, Dustin (Makayla) Williams, Ashton (Sean) Sherry, Bailey Greason, and Ella Greason, and 18 great grandchildren.
