Wendell J. Strunk

Wendell J. Strunk age, 83 years, of West Chester, Ohio died Monday, September 9, 2024 at the UC West Chester.

He was born in Honeybee, Kentucky on May 3, 1941 the son of the late Caleb and Sadie (Perry) Strunk. Wendell had been a dock worker for Roadway Trucking Company, a member of the Living Water Baptist Church, and the McDonald’s Coffee Club.

In addition to his parents, Wendell is preceded in death by brothers, Donald Strunk, Harold, Strunk, Darrell Strunk, Ronnie Strunk, and Clayton Strunk; and sisters, Phyllis Price and Fontella Vanover.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis (Taylor) Strunk of West Chester, Ohio; sons, Wendell Strunk (Tiffaney) of Hamilton, Ohio and Gregg Strunk (Shari) of West Chester, Ohio; sister, Brenda Whisman (Gary) of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Colin, Ethan, Tyler, Lizzy, Molly, Connor, and Kayla; and mothers-in-law, Thelma Taylor and Mary Lou Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 12pm Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Mill Creek Community Church with Bro. Gary Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday at the McCreary County Funeral Home.
