Wendell Lynn Vaughn, Jr., 64, of Inman, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, South Carolina surrounded by family.

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on March 5, 1961, he was the son of Wendell Lynn Vaughn, Sr. and his wife Verona and the late Rachel Louise (Hyder) Bailey.

Wendell was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a Dorman High School Class of 1979. Wendell remained an avid Cavalier fan and car enthusiast.  He had a strong faith and never failed to tell you what all God had done in his life.  Wendell never missed an opportunity to tell you about his family.  His family will always cherish the laughs they shared with him and the love he bestowed on everyone he met.

In addition to his father, he is also survived by his daughter, April Sherbert; two grandchildren, Clarissa Peterson and Jade Peterson; four brothers, Ken Vaughn (Peggy), Jeff Vaughn and his wife Pattie, Ben Vaughn and Keith Vaughn and his wife Heather; three sisters, Lori Whitlock, Judy Waddell and her husband Kevin and Marie Vaughn along with eight nephews, David, Luke, Reid, Corey, Jesse, Josh, Cole and Trace; eight nieces, Kayla, Kennedy, Ashley, Alex, Addison, Bethany, Cassidy and Attalie; four great nephews, Will, Bennett, Brayden and Kaden and five great nieces, Hadley, Emma Kate, Eleanor, Elouise and Charlie June.

Funeral services for Wendell will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina with Rev. Monty King officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford, South Carolina.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the Upstate Community Hospice House and staff, Tamara, Danial, Zenna, Alicia, Markita, Larry and Dr. Jonathan Eichorn and Agape Hospice staff, Ashley and Darnell.
