With deep love and tender remembrance, we announce the passing of Wendy Bennett, a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and faithful servant of God. Wendy fought courageously like a lioness against cancer, meeting each day with strength and unwavering faith. Surrounded by love, she was peacefully released back into God’s care while in the presence of her daughter.
Wendy was a woman of deep faith and a committed member of Bethel Christian Fellowship. Her relationship with God was the foundation of her life. She found joy in gospel music, reading her Bible, cooking meals that brought everyone to the table, sharing laughter through her quick wit, and serving faithfully in her work with special needs clients. She had a heart for people and a calling to care for those who needed compassion the most.
She is survived by her beloved children, Maya Wilson and Kareem Patterson, who were the pride and joy of her life. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Davion Smith, Madison Wilson, and Makayla Wilson, who brought light and laughter to her days.
Wendy is the daughter of Moses Wilson and the late Margie Johnson, who passed shortly after her on February 16, 2026. We find comfort in imagining their reunion. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Wilson, and is survived by her siblings Karen Green and Robin West, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Wendy’s life was marked by resilience, devotion, humor, and service. Though she has left this earthly home, her love, her prayers, and her legacy remain woven into the lives of all who knew her.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
