Wendy Brooks Obituary
Wendy was born on October 5, 1951, in Hartland, Maine, the daughter of the late Foster and Kathleen (Parker) Brooks Sr. She graduated from Maine Central Institute with the class of 1969. She attended both Mid State College and Thomas College. She worked for many years at the Hathaway Mill in Waterville and later on was employed by Redington-Fairview Hospital. She also worked during tax filing season for John Jordan in Skowhegan.
Family was everything to Wendy. Many holiday gatherings were held around her dining room table. Friday night card games were a favorite of hers and she enjoyed photography and cooking for others.
She is survived by her brother, Danny Brooks of Burnham; two brothers-in-law, David Verzoni of Winslow and Tommy Braley of Hartland; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Brooks and Jeanne Brooks; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Sherwood Brooks, Larry Tibbets, Foster Brooks Jr, and Dale Brooks; and sisters, Deborah Verzoni and Phyllis Braley.
A graveside service will be held in the spring of 2026 at the Fuller Corner Cemetery in Hartland, with the Rev. Kevin Brooks officiating.

I was so sad to hear of Wendi´s passing. She was a member of the Maine Society of Hospital/Healthcare Volunteer Directors with me and many other fine men & women around the state. I roomed with her once at the Nonantum hotel for a conference and we had a wonderful time. She always made me laugh and was always so welcoming to her professional colleagues and her volunteers at Redington Fairview Hospital. Rest in peace my friend.
