Wendy Fecteau

Wendy Fecteau, beloved sister, daughter, aunt and friend, passed away into the loving arms of God on January 1, 2026, at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Wendy was born August 7, 1961, in Milwaukee, WI to her late parents, Jacqueline (nee Guequierre) and Robert Fecteau.

Wendy moved to Sarasota 14 years ago and savored every moment of her time spent at the beach on Siesta Key. She was very active in AA and sponsored many individuals over the years, both in Wisconsin and Florida, by sharing her recovery experience and guiding and supporting newcomers through the recovery process.

Wendy earned her BBA degree from UW-Whitewater. She worked for the Knox Company in Sales. In her role at Knox, she worked closely with and made many friends in multiple Fire Safety organizations throughout several southern states.

Wendy is survived by her fur babies, Sandy and Sailor, siblings Vicky Williams, Jack Fecteau, Mark (Mary) Fecteau, Suzanne MacDonald Appleby and John (Emily) Mapes, and stepmother, Judy Fecteau. She was a loving and cherished aunt to nieces Nicole Williams, Stephanie (Jason) Smith, Jessica (Alex) Weber and Marissa (JD) Rollins. She is further survived by a grandniece, grandnephews, other relatives and many friends.

Wendy was a strong woman with an uplifting attitude, and she positively impacted so many lives with her wisdom and compassionate heart. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

A private graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in Wisconsin
