Wendy Stone Johnson, age 62, of Baxley passed away January 14, 2025 at her residence under the care of Georgia Hospice.
Wendy was born February 19, 1962 in Appling County to the late Wendell Stone and the late Martha Lee Edwards Stone. She was a member of Sand Hill Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Wendy was also an original member of County Farm Volunteer Fire Department and was a first responder. She was a loving Nana that enjoyed the presence of all her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Wendy was preceded in death by a brother & sister-in-law, Ronnie & Sharon Stone; father-in-law, H. F. Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Renee Betz.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Johnson of Baxley; daughter, Leigh (Timothy) Vaughn of Brunswick; sons, Brent (Melissa) Johnson, Marc (Kristan) Johnson both of Baxley and Matthew (Ashleigh) Johnson of Odum; sister, Debbie (Royce) Skinner of Richmond Hill; mother-in-law, Lawanna Boyette Johnson of Baxley; brother-in-law, Mike Betz of Westover, AL; sister-in-law, Karen (Greg) Bull of Gainesville; and six grandchildren and several nieces nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Sand Hill Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. James Lightsey and Rev. Gary Page officiating. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery
Active pallbearers will be Nathan Bull, Josh Stone, Justin Hooks, Jacob Bull and Al Marsh.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle Marple, Patricia Lamb, Brandy Harden & employees of Georgia Hospice, Theresa Coley, Kathy Solomon and all in attendance.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.
