Wendy Camilla McCarrel passed away on October 11th. She died peacefully surrounded by family.
Wendy was a longtime administrative professional at Somerset CPA’s, where she met some lifelong friends.
When she wasn’t gardening or hanging out with the neighbors, she was rooting for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Indianapolis Colts or planning her next vacation while listening to Jimmy Buffet. She was an avid hummingbird enthusiast and she loved dogs, especially her doodles Lexy and Milo.
Some of her fondest memories were of her time with friends and family, boating on Lake Shafer.
Wendy adored her 4 grandsons. She spent many days blowing bubbles, creating chalk art, and teaching them how to plant and tend to flowers.
Wendy was survived by her daughters Shannon and Sonja McCarrel, sons in law Isaac Warren and Keith Schuh, her grandsons Lincoln and Archer Warren, Koen and Atlas Schuh, her sister and brother in law Janelle and Bill Cole, and her mother Eleanor Mitchell (Guthrie). Wendy was preceded in death by her husband Jeff, father Robert Mitchell and many beloved family dogs.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wendy’s name to the Indianapolis Art Center at indyartcenter.org/donate.
