Age 72, of Cottage Grove.
Passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2025.
Preceded in death by grandson, Tyler Orpen; parents, Floyd & Gertrude Bjerkness; sister Deanna Bjerkness; and brother, Lee Bjerkness; father in law Arnold Ness and mother in law Alice Ness.
Survived by loving husband, Bruce; children, December (Shawn) Orpen, Elizabeth (Derek) Zarn; Eric (Lisa) Ness, Chad (Elsie) Ness, Sean Ness; grandchildren, Carly (Wyatt) Nelson, Courtney (Mike) Stelter, Ryan (Teresa) Orpen, Hunter Orpen, Carter Orpen, Grace Ness, Jax Affolter, Lincoln Zarn, Casper Zarn, Jesse Zarn, Baylee (Ryan) Stoughton, Thomas (Christina) OnderLinde, Skyler Ness, Owen Ness, Lucky Ness, and many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Wendy dedicated her life to her family, always there with a listening ear, sound advice and generous heart. Wendy spent her career as an Office Coordinator for Washington County School District 833 where she was the cornerstone of support and organization for countless students and staff. In addition to her primary role, Wendy also dedicated 30+ years to waitressing at the North Pole restaurant which was more than just a fun job for her, she adored the customers who became her friends over the years as well as the relationships cultivated with her work family.
Her legacy will live on in the lives of countless people she touched with her kindness and selflessness.
Funeral Service 11:30 AM Friday, May 30th at Klecatsky & Sons West Chapel, 1051 So. Robert St., West St. Paul. Visitation 9:30 – 11:30 am at the funeral home prior to the service.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials preferred.

Our hearts go out to Wendy´s family and friends. She was a special lady and friend to us, we will miss her dearly and she will never be forgotten. We loved you Wendy Love Patty and Ray Fjerstad
