Wendy Olsen (nee Sherwood), 70, of Cresskill, passed away on March 5, 2026 from complications of Dementia. Born in Pensacola, FL. Before retiring in 2019 she was a cashier for former Grand Union to Stop & Shop in Tenafly for 30 years. Moved to Houston TX for a few years before returning to Demarest NJ. Preceded in death by her Parents Harold and Marjorie Sherwood her twin sister Martha and her brother William. Wendy is survived by her husband of 31 years Kenneth Olsen. Devoted mother of Jennifer, Kenny and Ian. Loving grandmother of Megan, Hailey, Aiden and Leland. Great-grandmother of Oliver. Dear sister of Leslie Wiles and Betty Blanchard. Visitation Wednesday March, 11th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home Barrett Funeral Home , 148 Dean Drive, Tenafly. Short Mass to follow at 8PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Act Now Foundation, 400 38th Street, Suite 402, Union City, NJ 07087 for families with loved ones who have Alzheimer's and dementia would be appreciated.
