Layton, NJ: Wendy A. Rice died at home after battling cancer. She was 61 years old.

She was born Wendy Dennis in Belleville, and grew up in Rockaway. She graduated from Morris Hills High School. She had a career in banking reaching the position of Assistant Branch Manager of the Sussex Bank in Sparta, before transitioning to the position of Clinical Coordinator in Charge with Cunico Health and Wellness in Andover. She enjoyed showing Reining Horses as part of the National Reining Horse Association.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James W. Rice Jr.; two sons, Justin M. of Layton and Matthew E. and his wife Julianna of Hardyston; her mother Sally Dennis of White Twp.; Sister Tammy with husband James of White Twp.

Visitation will be held from 1pm to 5pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.

A funeral service will be held 9am on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Christian Faith Fellowship Family Church, 3188 State RT 94, Franklin, NJ 07416.

Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
