Werner K. Fundinger

EASTON------Werner K. Fundinger, 76, of Easton, died Friday morning, August 6, 2010 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Dorothea (Sawatzke) Fundinger. Born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 24, 1934, a son of the late Karl and Christina (Smith) Fundinger, he was raised and educated in Frankfurt, Germany. Werner arrived in the US at the age of 30 in August 1964, settling in Rockland, later moving to Brockton where he lived for 15 years, until settling in Easton where he has resided for the past 27 years. Werner worked as a baker for Ruth’s Bakery in Stoughton for 30 years. He enjoyed traveling to areas around the world, going to horse neck beach and was an avid gardener. Werner is survived by a son, Michael Fundinger and his wife Maryanne of Raynham and a grandaughter, Samantha Fundinger of Raynham. He was the brother of the late Richard Fundinger. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton.
