To all the good "Peeps"(people) who entered into the Life of My son Wes...I cannot express My gratitude or My heartache for You All in adequately enough...but please know that I, and All of Wesley's family share Your shock and grief at his sudden tragic Departure...and we are so sorry for Your Loss as well...Please rest assure that the holes in his heart which have also made holes in All of Our hearts will be gradually filled in with the Love and Goodness that Wes poured out into all of our Souls...May we All be comforted by that gift of a man who lived to Serve so many of Us...As his custom often was to invite his "peeps" to "Come on Over" and meet down on the Corner of wherever their Paths would cross...please join us as we will take the Time to share a hug and a Memory or two...or just a smile or tear before we accept our new Reality of our Lives yet to be lived without his wonderful Presence here on Earth...Someday we "know" that Wes will again greet us with the Words to "Come on Over" and we will be together Forever...again Thank You All for the times in the past that each of You took in shaping Wes' heart to be the man that he became... in the many Forms of the Love that you have shared with him...Thank You again from the bottom of My broken heart... -Wesley's "Pops"

You and I became friends forever the moment we realized that 1) we were both named "Wes", that being an occasion for a party, and 2) share the same lifestyle, by and large, and could incite a party on a moment's notice, which we often did. Now Nantucket will always be "one Wes short". We, and I personally, will miss you, and miss knowing you are out there being the other Wes and thus the rest of me. Signed: The Other Nantucket Wes

I met Wes when I became a bartender at Smokey´s O Grady´s - currently The Tavern on 66. Between Wes and the friends he surrounded himself with I knew that not only was he a great person, but that he could make anyone feel welcome and make anytime fun. He and his friends were a huge family, that always made you feel like a part of it. Every Sunday him and the boys would be in for football. Well, they would really be in almost every night, but we have had many adventures together throughout those years and still kept in touch. I´m grateful to not only know Wes, but those that surrounded him. You could tell Wes was a genuine person and loved his life with everyone he met. It´s clear that his roots stayed with his childhood friends, but continued to grow from Rhode Island down to Florida. I´m heartbroken like so many and am truly so sorry for this tragedy and am sending my sincere condolences to his family, his furbaby Beau and many, many friends that became family. I hope with every story and picture shared it may give you some comfort in knowing how loved he was.
