Wes Norris, age 72, died on September 23, 2025 at his home in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

Wes was born on May 19, 1953 in Port Angeles, Washington. He was the youngest of four in his family and raised by a single mom. After graduating high school, he ventured to Alaska where he met his bride, Coleen Hancock. The couple raised their son and daughter, Travis and Katrina. They moved from Alaska to Texas to California before settling down in Minnesota. Wes was a jack of all trades and taught his children how to be hard workers. He started his career as a locksmith. He dedicated many years to Marvin Windows, worked in construction, and retired after years as a truck driver.

After his youngest flew the coop, the couple moved west and enjoyed several years in Colorado and North Dakota before returning to Minnesota. Wes made friends everywhere he went. Wes loved to garden and spend time with his family. His grandsons brought him great joy and he was often full of belly laughs around the boys.

Wes is preceded in death by his wife, Coleen (Hancock), mother Harda Norris, sister Betty Krafsky, and sister Pam Boyden.

Wes is survived by son Travis (Casey) Norris, daughter Katrina (Erik) Tharalson, grandson's Tucker, Chase, and Tegan Norris, and Hank Tharalson, and brother John Norris. Additionally, he is survived by many loving extended relatives and friends.

Condolences may be sent to Johnson Funeral Service, Attn: Katrina & Travis Norris, 420 LaBree Ave N. Thief River Falls, MN 56701. A celebration of life will be shared by family at a later time.
