Weymouth "Weymie" Purington

Weymouth Noland Purington-also fondly known as "Weymie", age-85, passed away August 22, 2025 at the Exeter Center in Exeter, NH. He was born March 11, 1940 in Epping, NH, son of the late Noland Purington and Dorothy (Bouchard) Purington.

Weymie grew up in Brentwood and Fremont, NH and was one of two children in his family. He married Rose "Rosie" Bourdon on November 28, 1969 and they resided in Epping. Professionally, Weymie was a talented furniture maker starting out in Haverhill and then employed locally in NH for Tom Lavigne. In his spare time, you could most often find him tinkering on lawn mowers as a side job. Following Rosie's passing, her sister Carol Arneil became Weymie's caretaker which she was devoted to for the past 9 years.

In addition to his parents and wife, Weymie was predeceased by his sister, "Babe" Gagnon.

He is survived by his daughters, Lindell Purington and Darlene Purington, step-son, Brian Bourdon, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There are no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Prospect Cemetery, Epping, NH.
