Wilbert Marion Reed was born on September 3, 1960, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to the union of Lewis Reed Sr. and Louise Reed.
Preceding him in the afterlife were his parents, Louise and Lewis Reed Sr.; his sisters, Pasty Reed and Lou Alice Reed; and his brothers, Lewis Reed Jr. and Thomas Reed.
Wilbert, also known as "Al-Bo," moved to Kansas City, where he built a life that reflected his dynamic personality. A God-fearing man, he was known for his unwavering faith and deep devotion. Landscaping became his chosen profession, a craft he pursued with dedication and pride.
Wilbert was the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter to those around him. His vibrant personality and outspoken nature made him a beloved figure among friends and family. Above all, he was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather, deeply cherished for his love, guidance, and unwavering support.
Wilbert leaves to cherish his memory his children: Donte Reed, Deante Reed, Danell Primers, Sameer Brown, and Danna Primers; his siblings: Herbert Reed, Russell Reed Sr., George Reed, Cherry Reed, Mattie Bell, and Barbara Amir; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Janurary 25, 2025, at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church, located at 4444 Woodland Ave, Kansas City, MO 64110. The viewing will begin at 10:00am, the service will follow at 11:00am.
