Wilbur H. Gilliland, age 67, of Newport, passed on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Nancy Gilliland; and his sister, Betty Collins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rita Gilliland; daughters, Mandy Gilliland and Amber (Taylor) Manning; brother, Lacy Gilliland; sisters, Ann (Jimmy) Driskill and Frances (Eugene) Webb; grandchildren, Allie Ball, Mason Ball, and Sky Hance; also several other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family wishes to say a special "Thank You" to the staff at Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
The Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Union Cemetery with Bro. John Bugg officiating.
