Wilfred "Will" DeSain, a beloved husband, father, and community member, passed away on August 24, 2025, his 94th birthday. Born in Rushville, NY, he was the second oldest of six children to Frank and Frances DeSain. Will was predeceased by his parents, siblings Clifford, Floyd, and Helen DeSain, and son-in-law James (Faith) Casper.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia Law DeSain, daughter Faith DeSain Casper, son Thomas (Anne) DeSain, brothers George and Ralph DeSain, grandchildren Jacob and Zachary Casper, William and Angelina DeSain, and great-grandsons Spencer DeSain, Ashton Casper, and Owen Oliver.

A 1949 graduate of Marcus Whitman High School, Will had a diverse career as a truck driver, Dale Carnegie instructor, and later as an insurance agent with Nationwide Insurance. He was a perennial top producer, an inaugural member of their Hall of Fame, and was named Agent of the Year in 1987.

Will was deeply involved in his community, serving on exploratory committees for Christ the King and St John's churches in Liverpool, NY, and participating in several committees at St Mary's of the Assumption Church in Baldwinsville, NY. He was honored with an Immaculata Award from the Syracuse Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church. An original member of the Liverpool Elks, he also served as vice president of the CNY Family Bicycle Giveaway charity in Syracuse, NY.

Will had a passion for antique cars and enjoyed attending related events with friends. He lived for many years in Seneca Estates, often serving as President of the HOA, and cherished picnics with his neighbors. A people person, Will enjoyed getting to know his many clients and acquaintances.
