DERRY, NH - Wilfred "Will " Hamel, 85, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 11, 1939, to the late Henry and Rita (Ouellette) Hamel, Wilfred was their only child. He spent the majority of his life in Harmony, Rhode

Island, before relocating to New Hampshire in 2019 to live with his daughter and her family.

Will dedicated his career to the field of injection molding, first as a supervisor at Tupperware for more than 20 years, and later as a manager at Hasbro. Known for his strong work ethic and steady leadership, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout his career.

A man of quiet joys and simple pleasures, Will found peace in the outdoors - mowing the lawn, trimming trees, stacking wood for the family fire pit, and tending to his yard with care. He had a deep appreciation for all things mechanical and took special pride in maintaining his Toyota Camry. He also enjoyed relaxing on the deck or in the screen house, soaking in the calm of his surroundings.

Will's greatest love was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Arlene; his daughter, Heather and son-in-law Dusty of Derry, NH; and his two cherished grandchildren, Ashton and Sawyer, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Those who knew Will will remember his gentle spirit, loving nature, and the quiet warmth he brought to every moment. His presence was a steady comfort - kind, patient, and always ready with a smile.

A visiting hour will be held on Monday, May 5th, 2025, from 10 to 11am, at the Carrier Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30am, at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 1 South Road, Londonderry. Wilfred will be laid to rest on Tuesday morning, at 11:30am, at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Pascoag, RI.
