Wilfred Herrera Obituary
Will was born on October 11, 1930, grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with an B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Will briefly worked as an engineer with Kaiser Steel in California but his true calling was to fly. He married Martha M. Berumen, also of Pueblo.
Will proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aviator, rising to the rank of Major, and for over 25 years was a commercial airline pilot with American Airlines, retiring as a Captain. Will particularly enjoyed international flights.
Will always had a good story to tell, loved to travel, watch movies, and meet people. A bragging point he had was being a contestant in a Seniors Tournament on the television game show Jeopardy!
Will leaves a surviving family of wife Martha, married for 66 years, sons Richard, Charles, William and Lewis, and siblings Floyd and Christina.
