Beloved Son, Husband, and Father,
WATERBURY - Mr. Wilkin Garcia, age 45, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Ana Garcia and father of Hazel Garcia, Jonathan Garcia, Gabriella Garcia, and Samuel Garcia.
Wilkin was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on November 25, 1978, Wilkin was the son of Zeneida Rodriguez and Marino Garcia; the oldest of four children. He immigrated to the United States with his mother and sisters in 1994 and lived in the Bronx, New York. Wilkin was known for his loving and kind heart to others. Wilkin loved to spend time with family and friends and always loved to play dominoes and keep the people he loved laughing. His greatest accomplishments were his children and the family he created and deeply nurtured for the course of his life. Wilkin was exceptional in almost every way but he excelled the most at being a devoted husband, father, and true friend with a selfless heart. He was fierce in loyalty to his family with a capacity to love that was unending. His passing represents an indescribable loss to his family, and he will be missed immensely by all who knew him. Our family thanks you Dad, for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for thousands of hugs you shared with us and the unending love you instilled in all of us.
In addition to his wife, mother, father, and children, he is survived by his sisters; Evelyn Garcia, Mary Garcia, Laury Garcia and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Garcia will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Parish of St Anne’s, Todos Los Santos. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Relatives and friends may visit with the Garcia family on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Casey’ Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT.
