Willie worked and lived on his family farm all of his life. Growing vegetables, apples, peaches, and raising cattle. He loved spending time with family and friends. He spoiled his grandkids with snacks and games. Willie loved and enjoyed the simple life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy Shaver King; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Mike Perdue; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Shannon King; grandchildren, Cody Perdue, Whitney Perdue, Hannah King, Jacob King; brother and sister-in-law, Carson and Sylvia King; sister-in-law, Gladys Conner King; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, December 1, 2025 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Horace Light officiating. Interment will follow in the Copper Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until Noon prior to the service at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Willie´s passing.
I live in Christiansburg and won´t be able to attend his service. My love and condolences go out to all of you. It´s been so long since I moved away but have always missed life on the mountain and all of the good people I was fortunate enough to call friends.

Willie, I can't believe you are gone.
You were like my brother from time I was 12 years old until I was 17 years old. So many memories of us kids playing in hay loft (cowboys and indians) next to the milking barn. You, Chip and Wayne mowing hay at Grandpa's and us helping pick apples at your farm.
