Will T. Rector

Will Rector, age 24, of Dalton, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Crye Suits "Nene".

Will attended Coahulla Creek High School then Dalton State College where he was a member of Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity. He was kind, selfless, gentle, supportive, funny, and fearless. Will was known to take in his friends anytime they needed a hand. He was a jokester with his siblings but, always had a compliment for them. He loved to read, hike, play checkers and chess, entertain, dance, and play video games with his best friends. Most of all, Will loved people and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Jessica Rector, and Lacy and Grant Gibson; sisters and brother-in-law, Kennedy (Dylan) Viars, and Porter Gibson; brothers, Patten Rector, Cole Gibson, Tanner Gibson, and Tristian Ray; fiancée, Kaylee Smith; grandparents, Tom and Linda Rector, and Chris and Sherry Porter; aunts and uncles, Angie Mashburn, Michelle Townsend, Jeff and Renee Rector, Tina Rector, Stephanie Goins, and Bradley and Jessie Porter; and other family members, Shanda, Tanner, Evan, Logan, and Easton.

A funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Darey Kittle officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
