March 18, 1931 - July 25, 2025
Willa Faye (Holcomb) Willadsen,94, passed quietly and gently on July 25, 2025, at Goshen Care Center in Torrington, WY. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Friday August 1, 2025, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Mitchell, NE. A Rosary service will begin one hour prior to Mass at 10am. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Morrill, NE. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lyman Volunteer Fire Dept. and Happy Hour Club. Willa Faye (Willie) was born March 18,1931 to Lester and Theresa Holcomb of Anselmo, NE. In 1942 the family moved south of Lyman, NE where she and her six siblings walked across the road to the Kiowa School. She graduated from Lyman High School in 1949.
Willie married Swede (Eugene) Willadsen August 25,1949 at St. Theresa's Church in Mitchell, NE. They raised four children south of Lyman, NE on the Willadsen homestead. Mom was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lyman.
Dad and Mom were members of the Table Mountain Community Club until its end, and mom loved being an active member of the Happy Hour Club in the community.
She is survived by her son Dana (Dianne) Willadsen of Wheatland, WY; daughters Johnna (John) Carey of Guernsey, WY and Holly (Joe) Hatley of Torrington, WY; son-in law Allan Thomas of Lyman, NE; eleven loving grandchildren, Dana (Andrea) Willadsen, Doug (Tiffany) Willadsen, Heather (Tim) Esterdahl, Kristina Thomas, Theresa (Andy) Stellpflug, Katherine (Dave) Hessler, Natasha (TJ) Ewald, Nichole (Mark) Lyon, Jared (Brandie) Hatley, Jacob (RaeLe) Hatley; as well as 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandsons.
Mom was preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; daughter Melaney Thomas; granddaughter Missy Kay Willadsen; grandson Wayne Allan Thomas; three brothers and three sisters.
