Willabelle M. Heilman

Willabelle M. Heilman, 101, of South Beloit, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Fair Oaks Health Care Center.

She was born July 22, 1924 in South Beloit, IL, the daughter of Paul and Olga (Schmid) Youngwith. Willabelle was a 1942 graduate of South Beloit High School, South Beloit, IL. She married Robert Carl Hannawell Sr. Willabelle later married Arthur Heilman. He predeceased her in 1995.

Willabelle was formerly employed by The Royal and many restaurants in downtown Beloit as a cook. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, knitting, canning, cooking, gambling and going out to eat with her family. Willabelle was a jokester, told off color stories and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include her children, Dennis A. Hannawell and Christine (Randall) Oldenburger; three grandchildren, Shari (Ricardo) Bouche, Melissa (Christopher) Sieder and Megan (Nathan) Collier; five great grandchildren, Vanessa and Gabrielle Bouche, Kylie and Evan Sieder and Nolan Collier; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, friends and the entire Heilman family who she deeply cherished and they fully embraced her.

She was predeceased by her parents; sons, Robert Hannawell Jr. and Brian Anthony Hannawell; and 11 siblings.

Funeral service for Willabelle will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Visitation of remembrance will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL.
