Willadean "Bill" C. Helton

Willadean "Bill" C. Helton, 78, of Hickory, went to be with Jesus Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022.

She was born to the late Lee Jennings Clevenger and Nerva Mae Clevenger.

She was a homemaker most of her life to care for her older son and her two sets of twins. She walked, talked, and lived for Jesus every day and she's now in His presence, today. 2nd Corinthians 5:8

She was the former wife and lifelong friend of the late Ray "R.C." Helton.

She is survived by her son, Lyndon Ray Helton and wife, Heather, of Granite Falls; daughter, Angie Helton Sronce and husband, Chris, of Hickory; son, Kevin Daryl Helton of Hickory; daughter, Jamie Helton Ottinger of Mooresville; daughter, Amy Helton Thomas and husband, Greg of Conover; grandchildren, Faith Sronce, Brenton Harris, John Helton, Abbey Sronce Brain, Elisabeth Thomas, Rebekah Thomas, Graice Ottinger, and Matthew Helton; and sister, Frances Jones of Gastonia.

A service of remembrance and celebration will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 4, in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Duane Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the funeral home, prior to the service.
