Willard Elliot (Ike) Bohne passed away peacefully in his home on July 30, 2024 in Whitebird Idaho. Ike
was born July 10, 1955 in Greenville California.
Ike graduated from Greenville High school in 1973 and then joined the Navy in 1974 with his longtime
friend Jim Foster. After the Navy he went to work in the logging industry for Columbia Helicopter logging
Company for several years then he became a hunting guide in several states and New Zealand. When he
wasn't guiding or hunting, he worked on several ranches in the Idaho area. Ike also loved to search for
gold in the rivers and streams with a gold dredge, and in his spare time he did leather work and repaired
saddles and tack for the local people of Whitebird ID.
Ike was proceeded in death by his wife Laurie Bonwell, Brother Ryan Paul (Duke) Bohne, father and
mother Kurt and Nansi Bohne, maternal grandparents Willard and Hazel Wattenburg, and paternal
grandparents Harold (Ike) and June Bohne.
Ike is survived by his son Paul Timothy (Dusty) Long, grandson DeAndre Long, Stepdaughters Kim
Sohrekoff and Stephanie Carter, grandchildren Shannel and Tanna Sohrekoff and numerous great
grandchildren, his sister Kelli lehr and husband Steve Lehr, Brother Michael Bohne, niece Claire Downing
and husband Kelcea Downing and their daughter Elliot Marie Downing, niece Madelyn Bushers and
husband Jarrett Bushers.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the White Bird Cemetery at noon
(pacific time). A celebration of life will be held at the White Bird IOOF Hall in White Bird following the
graveside service. There will be food and lots of stories to tell and hear. Arrangements are under the
direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Send condolences to the family to
