Sumter, SC.... Willard Tillman Felder, age 76, beloved husband of 31 years to Eva Diane Lovelace Felder, died on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born is Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late James Chandler Felder, Sr. and Margaret Lou Beasley Felder. Willard worked as an electrician and also served for 6 years in the United States Air National Guard, stationed at McEntire Air Base. He loved playing golf, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. Willard was an avid Clemson fan, and he was known to be fun loving and made everyone around him laugh. His true joy in life came from spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle.
In addition to his wife Eva, he is survived by a daughter, Christina Brettelle and her husband Jack of Sumter; a son Christopher Wright of Sumter; 2 grandchildren, Michael Brettelle and his wife Helen, and Christopher Brettelle and his wife Hannah; 4 great-grandchildren, April, John, Jack, and Kimberly; a nephew, James Chandler Felder, III and his wife Elizabeth; a niece, Susan "Mimi" Felder Mixon and her husband Dwight, and two great nieces, Ashleigh Mixon Pack and her husband Conner, and Kaylee Grace Mixon.
He is preceded in death by a brother, James Chandler Felder Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 3:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. The interment will follow the service in the Sumter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
