Willard Willis Williams, 92, was born April 11, 1933, in Binger, Oklahoma, to Troy and Milda Harness Williams. He was the second of four children, with an older brother, Barton, and two sisters, Ethel and Sally.
Like many families of that era, the Williams family moved frequently in search of work. They harvested fruit in surrounding states, logged timber, and farmed crops for a time in Caruth, Missouri, before eventually settling in Van Buren County, Arkansas, where Willard would spend much of his life. A dedicated and hardworking man, Willard held many jobs throughout the years, including truck driver, poultry worker, farmhand, carpenter, factory worker, and a stint with Petit Jean Electric. He later spent 15 years working for the Arkansas Highway Department.
Willard met and married the love of his life, Anna Corine Harper, on October 2, 1953. Together they built a life centered on love and family and raised three children. Their son, Randall, was born in 1955 while Willard was serving in the United States Army and stationed in Germany. Twins, David and Dianna, were welcomed into the family in 1960.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Barton; his sister, Ethel; and his beloved wife, Corine, in 2021.
Willard is survived by his son, Randall and wife Tonya, son, David and wife Jennifer; daughter, Dianna Williams Welch and husband John; and his sister, Sally. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Sadra (Justin) Standridge, Katherine (Les) Williams, Ashtyn Hearn, Ian Williams, Ryan Williams, Logan (Robin) Welch, and Lucian (Debra) Welch, Gracyn (Preston) Sanders; and great-grandchildren, Brody, Bree, Bryden, Kash, Theo, Mason, and Evelyn.
