Obituary published on Legacy.com by McGill Click Funerals & Cremations - Loudon on Dec. 9, 2025.
Willet Walter Kriewall entered into the gates of Paradise into the arms of his Lord and Savior, on Thursday December 4, 2025, having lived his entire 91 years as a faithful, serving Missouri Synod Lutheran.
Will was born July 21, 1934 in
Port Hope, Michigan to Frederick and Lois Kriewall. At the age of five he "moved to the city" and eventually settled in
Utica, MI, graduating from Utica High School at age 16. He proudly served as an U.S. Army Reservist.
Will met his bride-to-be, Vickie Larsen, at Trinity Lutheran in 1971 and they were married there on July 31, 1976. Three years later they welcomed their daughter, Adrianne.
Will and Vickie made their home in Michigan until January 2020 when they were inspired to relocate to Tellico Village in Tennessee.
He enjoyed spending summers up in Port Hope, working on family farms until he learned of manufacturing job openings at Michigan Metal Kraft. He worked there until the opportunity to be a part of a new company arose. He would go on to become the President and Co-Owner of Experi-Metal & Plastics where he worked until his retirement.
Will had a life-long love of antique cars, especially the 1932 Chevy Roadster. He reconstructed an original '32 Chevy Roadster and a '32 Roadster Pick-up. He won many car show awards including "Best in Class" at the Hershey PA. Auto Show.
Will lived a long and storied life. He was a jack-of-all trades and a master of most (except penmanship). At various points of his life, he could be found enjoying any one of these activities: playing golf, singing in a barbershop quartet, building houses, playing the piano, inventing doodads, vegetable gardening, playing Pac-Man, writing poetry, poodle wrangling, deer hunting, and especially story-telling. Whether you knew him as Will, Willy, Mr. K, Uncle Will, Dad or Grandpa, he was known for his sharp wit and was always ready with a joke or a story.
Throughout his faithful service to his Lord and church, he held many roles including: Elder, Stewardship Committee Chairman, Congregational President (several terms), Men's Choir, Personnel Committee, New Church Building Chairman, and Bethel Bible Series Instructor. He also served on the Lutheran Michigan District Stewardship Board developing and instituting a system of funding projections which was named in his honor and is still used today.
Will was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Lois Kriewall, siblings Wilma and Phylma, Edwin and Ruth.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Vickie, daughter Adrianne Fazel (Jason), grandsons Kaleb and Carter, siblings Alvin, Carl, and Pauline, many nieces and nephews and numerous family friends.
