She was born on May 16, 1930 in Harbor Beach, to the late Joseph and Agnes (House) Ganley. Kathryn and William J. Kriewalll, AKA Poopsie and Slickie, were united in marriage on January 12, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church of Harbor Beach. They had been married for 52 wonderful years when he preceded her in death on April 1, 2009.
Kathryn graduated from the Harbor Beach Community School, at the age of 16. She was offered a job soon after, at the local bank where she spent her entire working career. Kathryn had a passion for reading and was known to read a book a day. She enjoyed spending time with family and lunch dates with her friends.
She is survived by her son John (Ruth) Kriewall of Harbor Beach, daughter Jan (Jim) Adler of Ruth, five grandchildren: Andrea (Leon) Piskorz, Aaron Kriewall, Jeffery Adler, Bradley (Allison) Adler, Renee (Tim) Johnston, 8 great grandchildren: Paxton, Kacey, Aidyn, Caeden, Parker, Madison, Alexiana and Berklee, and one great great grandson, Ashton.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Graves.
Graveside services for Kathryn will be Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11 am at Rock Falls Cemetery, with Rev. Matthew Durance officiating. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
