William Randall Absher

William Randall "Randy" Absher of Kernersville, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home (Trellis Supportive Care) after suffering several years from a rare condition called Inclusion Body Myositis.
Randy was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina, on September 19, 1949 to the late Billy E. and Imogene P. Absher. Randy was also preceded in death by his brothers, Tim and Danny Absher.
Randy was a devoted, loving and good father to his daughters, Beth Furner and Kimberly Absher, and was the best Pop Pop to his two grandchildren, TJ Chakona and Atlee Currence.
In addition to his daughters and grandchildren, Randy is also survived by his brother, Reggie Absher (Betty), sister-in-law, Vikki Absher, several nieces and nephews, and good friends, Derick and Joanne Hepler, Wayne and Vivien Gunter and Jack and Diane Diffin.
Randy will be remembered for always helping his family and friends, and for his undying support for his favorite basketball team, the Carolina Tarheels.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Kernersville Community House, 405 Salisbury Street, Kernersville, North Carolina.
