William Adams Obituary

William Gibson Adams Sr., a beloved resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on December 19, 1943, in Cooper, Texas, he leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and contributions to his community.

Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lillia Adams, sister Norma Tipton, brothers Titus Earl Adams and Walter Bennett Adams. William is survived by his wife Teresa Adams, sister Patsy Gillean (Joseph), sister-in-law Beryl Adams, children Dewinlyn Mack (Timothy), William G. Adams Jr. (Cynthia), Shannon Adams, Lisa Henry, and Charles Adams (JoBeth), and six grandchildren. One great-grandson and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends also share his memory.

A Vietnam War veteran, William proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972. After his military service, he embarked on a 40-year career in Industrial Supply Sales.

William actively engaged in community service, serving as Past Governor and a Moose Legionnaire member of the San Antonio Moose Lodge #744, his local Homeowner's Association as President, a proud member of The American Legión and participated in volunteer activities supporting Veterans and Children.

His passions included family, grilling and cooking, boating, rafting, fishing, and hunting.

William is now at peace in the arms of his Savior.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels Cherry Ridge, 3401 Cherry Ridge Dr. A rosary service and eulogy will commence at 6:00 pm. On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, a funeral procession will take place at 10:15am to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for the military burial at 11:00 am.
