William Fleming Addington II (Bill, B.A. to those in the know), age 70, passed peacefully at home on October 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born on May 23, 1955 to the late Marjorie (nee Marvin) and the late William Fleming Addington, of Indianapolis, IN. Bill was a beacon of warmth and compassion to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Schwarz Addington. Together, they nurtured a loving family that includes their son, Nick Addington (Erica Richmond), and cherished grandchildren, Willow and Otto. Bill was preceded in death by his sisters, Deborah Bledsoe and Nancy Davis.

Bill was a man of many passions. A devoted member of the Greater Cincinnati Grotto since 1993, he dedicated five years to mapping John Griffin Cave. He loved geology and adventure. A fan of classic cars, he was always ready to share cool images with friends online. Bill dreamed of restoring his own while jamming to the music of Frank Zappa. His heart and hands were forever busy in the kitchen, sharing his culinary delights with those who could appreciate them.

He was truly the best dad a boy could ask for, a kind soul who sought to answer every curious question with patience and understanding. Bill's generosity knew no bounds. He would drop everything to lend a hand or an ear to those in need. He effortlessly brought joy during gatherings with friends and family.

He leaves behind not just memories, but a legacy of kindness, laughter, and the reminder to celebrate life's many adventures. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
