William Robert Aiton passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2025, at the age of 93. He was born on March 21, 1932, in Dallas, Texas.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Jeannine, and by three daughters from his previous marriage: Sally Foster (Bill), Kelly Baker (Brett), and Nancy Murphy (Tom). He was the proud grandfather of twelve: Mitch Aiton, Kevin Aiton (Moe), Scott Aiton, Emily Aiton, Scott Hubley (Jennifer), Rebecca Jones (Jon Michael), William Baker (Nicole), Ryan Girish (Girish Selvaraj), Megan Murphy, Morgan Gonzalez (Dani), and Cole Murphy. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Hannah, Nathan, Henry, Aylah, Charlotte, Ruby, Tommy, and Piper.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Vesta; his sister, Helon; his nephew, Leslie; his son, John; and his granddaughter, Anne.
Robert began his professional life in the insurance industry before transitioning to the securities field, where he enjoyed a successful career as a stockbroker spanning more than 40 years. Beyond his work, his greatest joy was his family, and he cherished celebrating their many accomplishments.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Valwood Park Baptist Church, 2727 Valwood Pkwy., Farmers Branch, TX 75234. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the SPCA of Texas in Robert's memory.
