Mr. William Charles "Bill" Allen, age 68 years, a resident of the Talbott Community in Belington, departed this life early Saturday morning December 13, 2025 in the comforts of his home. Death was unexpected.
He was born on September 14, 1957 at Philippi, WV a son of the late Freddy Thomas and Martha Elizabeth Long Allen. On May 15, 1982 at the Talbott Church in Belington, he was united in marriage to the former Peggy Estaline Howell, who survives at their home.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons; William Charles Allen Jr. and wife Alice and Brandon Charles Allen both of Belington, one brother; Stevie Thomas Allen and wife Frances of Belington, two sisters; Doris Workman and husband Billy of Charleston, WV and Linda Robinson and husband Clarence "Dink" of Philippi. Additional survivors include two grandchildren; Shelby Nicole Allen and William Robert Allen and sister-in-law; Linda Hinkle and husband Johnny of Hacker Valley, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters; Mary Edgell, Genevive Allen and Peggy Allen.
Bill attended the schools of Barbour County and was previously employed with George Hunt Lumber, LLC as a timber cutter. Bill was a true outdoorsman; he enjoyed camping with his wife and going boating. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Above all, Bill love spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
