William Babich Obituary
He was born February 12, 1948, in Richmond, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Charles Babich.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sherry Babich; his sons, Warren L. Babich (Laura), Craig E. Babich (Kathy), and his daughter, Laura M. Rice; seven grandchildren, Michael, Lily, Dylan, Avie, Elizabeth, Adam, and Mason.
Self-described as a lifelong student of the internal combustion engine and machinist by trade. There was nothing Mike could not fix. He loved fishing, target shooting, motorcycle riding, and figuring out how things worked. A master craftsman in his trade, Mike developed countless friendships throughout his 35 plus years operating Babich Machine Company. He loved his country and his family. His smile, wit and soul will be missed.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail Providence Forge, VA 23140. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive Sandston, VA 23150.
