William David Bailey

William David Bailey, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of December 31, 2025 at his home in Sigurd, Ut. He was born on February 6, 1962, Salt Lake City, Utah to Bill and Marilyn Bailey. He married the love of his life, Suzanne Peel Bailey, on June 9, 1989 in the Manti LDS Temple, Manti, Utah. Together they have one son, Austin Trevor Bailey, whom they both loved more than anything else on this Earth. Dave faithfully served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Nashville, Tennessee mission.

Dave's greatest joy in life was his family, especially his wife and son whom he loved dearly. He had a great love for going camping and fishing with his family over the years at Strawberry Reservoir. He later would find great joy in watching his son play football. Once fall came around he could often be found at weeknight practices and Saturday games with Austin. He also found great joy in spending time with his wife and son in the snow covered mountains of Utah while snowmobiling. Towards the end of his life, he would often say that he couldn't wait to take his two grandsons fishing for the first time.

He had a 30 year career in the HVAC industry, 10 years of which he spent working with his dad as partners in Bailey's HVAC. There were many instances where he spent late nights making sure people weren't without heat or cooling for their homes. Especially those that were in need in his mothers ward in West Jordan, Utah. Dave loved all those that he worked with in the HVAC industry, whether it was his employees at Bailey's HVAC, contractors that he worked side by side with, partners that worked at local supply houses or his customers that greatly appreciated his expertise.

Dave will be remembered for his ability to talk anyone's ear off about any topic possible, and the love that he had for his family. To Dave, his family was everything to him. Many conversations would find their way to being about how much he loved and missed working with his dad who was his best friend, or how much he loved and missed his wife.

He is survived by his son Austin, two sisters Corrine (Dale) Titus and Gloria (Bill) Caughey, two brothers Alan (Dianne) Bailey and Steven (Alyssa) Bailey, his two grandsons, Ryder and Bear and many nieces and nephews. Dave is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Funeral services will be held on January 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Larkin Mortuary, 3688 W 12600 S, Riverton, UT 84065. Friends and family may visit on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the mortuary from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the services.
