John R. Bailey, 91, Mooresville, died March 15, 2026 at home. He was born on November 3, 1934, in Albion, Illinois, to the late Floyd and Emily (Isle) Bailey.

He graduated from Edward Sr. High School in Albion, Illinois, and had worked as a printer for Angus Electronics in Speedway for 35 years. He was a faithful member of Living Christ Lutheran Church. In addition, he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Bailey; daughter, Melody Fisher; sister, Helen Rosenberg; and brothers, Marvin Bailey, George Bailey, and Virgil Bailey.

Survivors include his children, Angela (David) Crockett of Mooresville, and Jeff Bailey of Mooresville; son-in-law, Michael Fisher; grandchildren, Brandon Fisher, Chelsea Speilman, Salem Oberyn, Sarah Bailey, Samantha Bailey, Jonathan Bailey, Caleb England, Kara Beasley, Emily Beasley, and Katelyn Beasley; and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 12:00 pm with Pastor Steven Latzke officiating. He will be laid to rest alongside his late wife in White Lick Cemetery following the service.
