William "Bill", "Billy", Baughman, Went to be with our Lord and Savior May 31, 2024. He was born December 14, 1944, to Bernard Baughman & Freda Viola (Taylor) Baughman. Upon graduating from New Concord High School, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy and spent the next 16 months in Saigon, Vietnam.
Coming home from the navy, Bill worked for the United States Post Office, then transferring to Florida. Being a home body he returned home to Zanesville. His love for music and dance led him to Columbus to Barbershop and a dance group in Zanesville.
He worked for Smith Trucking and other trucking firms, which led him to Atlanta. Bill enjoyed clogging and singing barbershop while in Atlanta. Bill had many friends all over this country, and kept in touch with them until the day God took him home.
Bill leaves behind two sisters, Mary Ann Power and Faye Matheney; three nieces, Vickie (Tom) Pound, Melissa Dennis and Rebecca (Ted) Osborn; five nephews, Greg Matheney, Vince (Leslie) Power, Daryell Matheney, Mike Matheney and Dannie (Misty) Matheney; eighteen great nieces & nephews and thirty three great-great nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Charles Matheney and Richard Power and a great niece, Brooklyn Musgrave.

Bill was a BFF to my sister Sis, I remember him from hanging with Sis and him, he had a motor cycle he was going to take me a ride and I no longer got on the bike with him and he said not touch your leg against the pipe ( it was a second to late) I had already burnt my leg on the pipe and it was a really bad burn. So sorry to hear of Bill passing, RIP Bill
