William (Bill) Edward Becker, age 74, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Janesville on February 19, 2026. He was born on April 1, 1951 in Janesville, WI, the son of William and Doris (Schroeder) Becker. He attended and graduated from Milton Sr High school in 1969. Bill served in the US Army from 1969-1973, serving in the Vietnam War from 1970-1971. During his time in the Vietnam War, he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and attained the rank of SPC4.

On March 2, 1974, he married the love of his life, Vickie Hantke in Milton, Wisconsin. They would have been married for 52 years. He worked at General Motors in the paint department for 32 years until he retired. Bill was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church in Milton, Wisconsin serving on many church boards. After retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, gardening, spending time with his family, and anything to do with the outdoors.

Bill is well known around the community as the founder of Grandpa Bill's Pumpkins and Produce. His favorite part of growing pumpkins was interacting with his new and returning customers and working alongside his family who will continue his legacy. Bill also donated pumpkins to many organizations around his community.

Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vickie; children: Chasity (Adam) Korth, Casey (Mark) Meythaler, William (Carmen Kligora) Becker, and Christi (Richard) Klingman; 6 beloved grandchildren: Karleigh, Claire, Riley, Becker, Teagan, and Jace; 1 great grandson: Tucker; 2 sisters: Donna Hickman and Jackie Conrad; 1 brother: Steven Becker; brothers in law: Darryl (Chris) Hantke and David Hantke; as well as other extended family.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother Doris; father William; niece Carrie McLaughlin; nephew Stevie Becker; mother-in-law Donna Sanding; father-in-law Franklin Hantke; sisters in law: Jeannie Becker and Deborah Hantke; many other extended relatives and his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Babs.

A private family service will be held at St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Bill was loved and will be dearly missed. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
