William Edward Belew

William Edward Belew, age 91, of Pinson, Alabama, passed away on January 22, 2026. He is survived by his children, David Belew (Connie Belew) and Karen Lollar (Keith Lollar); six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Patty Calvert; his brother-in-law, Clarence McAdams; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Fuqua and Ben Belew; his spouses, Jean Belew and Faye Belew; his son, William Edward Belew Jr., and daughter, Mary Lee Belew; his grandchildren, James Blake Lollar and Crystal Belew; his sisters, Edith Ramey and Jeanette Praytor; his sister-in-law, Delores McAdams; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Praytor and Charlie Calvert.

The funeral service for Mr. Belew will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Belew's family will begin receiving guests in the funeral home's chapel at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following the funeral service, everyone will travel of their own accord to Cane Creek Cemetery in Warrior, where we will all reconvene graveside for a brief committal service prior to interment.
