William Bennett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis Funeral Home on May 6, 2025.
William "Bill" Martin Bennett, 94, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025. He was born in Yonkers, NY, the son of the late William Henry Bennett and Mary Margaret (Martin) Bennett.
Bill was the loving husband of the late Helen (Zerbarini) Bennett. They were married on September 6, 1957, and shared nearly 48 years of marriage until Helen's passing in 2005.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from February of 1948 until his honorable discharge in February of 1952, obtaining a good conduct medal for his committed service to his country.
Bill enjoyed a long and successful career as a banker, working in New York for many years before retiring and relocating to Nashua with Helen in 1992. An avid walker, Bill brought his love of city strolling from New York to Nashua. He could often be seen walking along Main Street, visiting local businesses and banks, and was well known and warmly greeted by many of Nashua's downtown merchants.
Bill and Helen shared a love for road trips, especially their many getaways to Manchester, Vermont, where they enjoyed shopping at the outlet stores. A man of faith, Bill was a devoted and active member of St. Patrick's Parish in Nashua.
He leaves behind his dear friend Marianna Rosato, who provided companionship and kindness in his later years.
SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday May 8, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Parish, 29 Spring Street, Nashua, NH. Interment, committal prayers, and military honors will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Nashua. Friends are warmly welcomed to attend Bill's services.
Those who wish may make a memorial contribution in Bill's name to St. Patrick's Parish, 29 Spring Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
