Ethel Farmer Obituary
She was a member of Church of the Living God #45.
Ethel loved flowers and plants and always kept an abundance of plants in
her home and beautiful flowers outside when the weather was warm, so feel free to
send flowers or plants.
Ethel was also a breast cancer survivor and an organ donor recipient (kidney) and
was a fierce advocate for both. If you would like to donate to a non-profit in lieu
of flowers, please consider donating to Susan G. Komen (KY) https://www.komen.org/community/kentucky/
or Donate Life KY https://www.donatelifeky.org/about-us/ in her memory.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Farmer, Jr., and her grandchild, Kamaria Essence.
She is survived by her children, Tonya Shown (Greg), LaKunta Farmer (Tiffany), Gregory Farmer; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Susie Taylor, James Humphreys (Sandra), Jimmy Ware (Belle), Mary Claybon, Mildred Hunt (Husley).
Visitation: 5pm-7pm Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at A. D. Porter & Sons Southeast, 4501 Bardstown Rd. Funeral: 12 noon Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Church of the Living God Temple 45, 2401 W. Madison St.

Yesterday
I remember working with her at PCC and Duvalle. She was my daughter Fa'Lesha Pitts teacher. She would let Fa'Lesha spend weekends at her house. She always had a kind word to say when talking to you.

I enjoyed working with Mrs. Farmer at Head Start Parent Child Center, Park Duvalle. She was always kind and loving to both the children and parents. She was a friendly and godly woman who took her job as a teacher seriously. May she receive her reward in heaven.
