William L. Biggs (Big Billy)
February 28, 1958 – November 30, 2024
William L. Biggs, affectionately known as "Big Billy," passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, at the age of 66, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Selma, NC. Born in Pitt County, NC, William spent most of his life in the region, where he became well-known for his kind heart, larger-than-life personality, and deep commitment to those around him.
William was preceded in death by his father, George Biggs; mother, Vivian Biggs; and siblings, Edward Biggs, Cynthia Anthony survived by her husband Johnny Anthony, and Brenda Biggs. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Brenda Biggs, and his beloved children: William Michael Biggs, Latrecia S. Dudley, and Felecia Stokes. He is also survived by his siblings: Donald Biggs (Doris), Barbara Jones(David), Vivian Saunders (Darryl), Georgia Briggmon (David), and Sally Swanns (James), as well as his cherished grandchildren: Isaiah Dudley, Zaviar Biggs, and Jordan Dudley.
A compassionate man, William dedicated many years of his life as a home manager, working with individuals with special needs. His work reflected his deep sense of empathy and desire to help others lead fulfilling lives. Outside of work, William was an avid spades player, a talented cook, and a passionate sports enthusiast. His energy and zest for life made him a beloved figure to all who knew him.
A viewing will be held in his honor on December 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grace Church, 1401 Boyer St., Raleigh, NC 27610. Family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating William's life and legacy.
William will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his joyful spirit, and his caring nature. He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
