William (Bill) Gray Sr. Lebanon, Virginia -- It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of a loved husband, father, grandfather, brother who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the age of 83. William was born on July 12, 1942, in Russell County, Virginia to the late Cecil & Dacy Gray.
William was a retired construction worker and farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his, brothers Odell Gray, Bobby Gray, and Donald Gray, son Randy Gray.
William is survived by his loving wife, Mary Gray; son, William (Billy) Gray & wife Pam; daughter, Rebecca Gray; stepson, Danny Horn & wife Diana; his pride and joy grandchildren, Caleb Gray & MiKayla Gray; sister, Linda Morrison & husband Roger; Doris Couch & husband William; several nieces, nephews & friends.
A special thanks to the 3rd floor CCU staff and cardiology department at JMH for the loving care they provided.
Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday December 12, 2025, in Russell Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Virgil Musick officiating. All those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:40 am to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Gray, Fisher Martin, Adam Gray, Jim Gray, Clifford Davis, and William (Scrooge) Couch.
Honorary pallbearer, lifelong friend, Roger Morrison.
