Fines Creek, William "Bill" Jenkins, 67, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024.  A native of Haywood County, Bill was the son of the late Jesse and Ruth Rathbone Jenkins.  He was the husband of the late Earlene Phillips Jenkins who passed away in 2012.  He is also preceded in death by a brother Joe Jenkins.

Bill was of the Baptist Faith.  He worked at Dayco until its closing.  After Dayco’s closing Bill went on to attend Haywood Community College where became a licensed Electrician.   

Bill found many joys in life but truly enjoyed fishing and hunting.  

Left to cherish Bills memory are his three sisters, Barbara Mills, Margaret Russell and Carolyn (Tootsie) Blevins, a very special friend Amanda Graziosi, along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at White Oak Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to services.  Burial will follow the service at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 7589 White Oak Road, Waynesville, NC  28785

The care of Mr. Jenkins has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville
