Mr. William “Bill” Hubert Kuhl, Jr., age 75, beloved husband of Michelle Bolding Kuhl, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 2, 2025, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Redd officiating. A visitation will also be held on August 4th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 18, 1949, in Orange, New Jersey, Bill was the son of the late William H. Kuhl, Sr. and the late Angela Jane Carter Kuhl. He began his career in public service, working from 1971 to 1981 as a police officer in South Orange, New Jersey. In addition to his time in law enforcement, Bill served as an EMT and volunteered with the local fire and first aid departments. He later transitioned into sales, working as an appliance salesman.
Bill had a heart for ministry and most recently devoted his time to serving with the Goose Creek Bypass truck stop ministry. He found joy in building model cars, collecting fire engine figurines, and spending time in Bible study.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Heather Lynne Potterton of New Jersey, Lori Schiraldi of New Jersey, Cyndie (Mike) Haines of New Jersey, son, William H. (Tiffani) Kuhl, III of New Jersey, brother, Joseph “Joe” Kuhl of Columbia, TN, sister, Mary Jane Froggatt of West Virginia, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Carter Kuhl.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Bill’s name to your local animal shelter.
